"What am I to myself?"
He felt a familiar sensation in his body at night, while sleeping. He turned into a werewolf again; which he realized that the reason why transformed into one is because of the day and night cycle. But his body was moving beyond his powers and against his wills. He climbed out from his window and got to the suburbs.
While walking, he thought to as why his mind is still consciously thinking while he couldn't feel sensation. He was wishing for an answer, but then a police siren was heard. And since he was very near to the police car, the police were able to ambush him. He looked at them in disbelief to as why he was ambushed. And the next thing that happened was…
“Shoot the werewolf!” an officer yelled. The piercing voice caused him to react to it by charging at them. He managed to get quite some of the policemen injured in the process.
“...... why there is blood on my hands? What have I done just now?!” he cried as his immense guilt builds up before he got shot.
“Please end my life… I do not wish to live in this wretched world…”
The policeman hesitated, and then shoot him on his arm. He couldn't end someone's life.
“Wake up. It's time,” a man make voice whispered to him.
He realized that he is now inside a psychiatric hospital. But why is he still breathing? And then a familiar face came inside. It was Benson.
“Sam? How did you manage to turn back to your original form? Weren't you a werewolf?” he asked, but it was to no avail. He tried asking something else.
“What is your life during childhood? Was it good?”
Ratmousen kept his mouth shut for a while before replying, “Childhood? What is even childhood to me? I never get to enjoy the good days like these. No matter how much I tried to make my childhood as lively as possible, I still felt as if there is something missing from me.”
Benson wrote on his notepad that Sam had a tough childhood. Maybe it's with his dark past. After all, he is just an innocent being.
“I thought that I would have a wonderful childhood like all the other people. But I got treated badly as instead. I could not question them and their acts. I really wish I can meet my other mother…”
“Sam, I understand. But you are in danger right now. Believe it or not, they are trying to kill you, but one officer spared your life. He knew that you didn't want to hurt anyone and will only attack when needed. But I still had to keep you from escaping this hospital.”
He looked at Benson wildly, questioning his responsibility. Is he trying to repress his freedom?
