IMPERFECTION/PERFECTION (Chapter 25)

As the teenagers walked, they knew that it was already sunset. That being said, they need to rest for the rest of the day. They stopped on a waterfall to rest. Quite a lot of the teenagers went and take a bath there as they haven’t got one since they went out from the prison. Eventually, everyone took a bath.

    Gareth noticed the teenagers whom they found that morning got back to their clothes. That was fast! Before they get to walk away from them, Gareth asked them.

    “Where are all of you going? Come on, enjoy the bath.”

    “No thanks, we are going to find food. I know all of you will be hungry by now.”

    He thought about it for a while. “Maybe they will do us a favor by finding assume food.” He agreed to let them find food. After they went away, Marvin looked at Gareth.

    Marvin asked, “Hey, Gareth, why are they going out that fast? They could be tricking us.”

    “Yea, maybe they are duping us. They told us that they are finding food. That was automatic! How did they know they are finding food?”

   “Yes, that’s why I felt suspicious of that! They must be from PUFFBALL. Now should we just take action on them?”

    “Not yet. Let them go first. If they are indeed from PUFFBALL, then it’s time to strike them. Marvin, just keep track on their actions first before we act on them.”

    “Okay. I will keep an eye on them.”

    The teenagers whom they picked up that morning came back with boxes of food. They were quite big to be honest, and how did they get that?

    “Hey, Jonas, how did you all get these stuff? It's impossible to get those inside a jungle,” Michelle asked.

    “We found them when we were hunting for food. There are lots of food in them, and I think that should be sufficient.”

    “Are you all lying?”

    “No, we weren't. We really found them there.”

    “Then, okay, everyone, maybe we can have our dinner now!” Gareth exclaimed in happiness that the teenagers got their food.

    Everyone cheered as they rushed to get their food from the box.

    Marvin examined the package. It was a paper cuboid-shaped package at the size of his hands, just like the burgers you get in a fast food restaurant. On the front side and the top of the package, it wrote PUFFBALL: “Making your life better.” It does seem a little bogus as it goes, but that was least of his concerns. Until when he opened the package. A Post-It was placed on top of every food on the package. Here is the message on the top of his sandwich:

    “Surprised, right? If you want more of these, you better quit fighting against us or else this will be your last meal.”

    What nonsense was that message talking about? Sure, he knew it's from PUFFBALL, as the message asked them to just quit. But why they asked them about food? That can be strange to be exact, and most likely they are giving a last chance to them whether if they want to quit going rebel to PUFFBALL.

    He asked everyone if they got the same message. It seemed that everyone has one. Charlotte, one of the teenagers, told them to be rest assured that they won't be attacked. But since they knew it can happen, since they didn't believe what she said as if she told a lie.

     That night, everyone went to a slumber. Enrique, couldn't sleep very well just like yesterday. Why couldn't he sleep well? And then, the group of teens walked away from them.

    “Where are you all going? Aren't you all sleepy?” Enrique asked.

    Jonas replied, “We couldn't sleep too well like you. We are going to look around this place. Don't worry, it's okay.”

    Enrique just went to sleep, forgetting about what happened just now. But then, he heard faint sounds of people talking.

    “...bring…..ship…..put….capsule….Clarence….rule the world…,” they talked.

    They must be up to something, he thought. And then, he heard sounds of people walking. This must be PUFFBALL trying to abduct them! Quickly, he woke them up, saying that PUFFBALL will abduct them.

     The teenagers who met the people in the spaceship, which are actually Kamalyndoses, told the special ops the location where the teenagers were. They headed to the place.

    “Strange, they were here a couple minutes ago. How the hell they vanished?” Charlotte told them.

    And then, someone from the treetop leaped and struck them on the head and stabbed everyone there. Jonas was shocked by his attacks and tries to kill him. He dodged Jonas’ attack and grabbed his body.

    “Jonas, you traitor!” he shouted in front of him before slitting his throat.

    “Damn, they must be trying to kill us,” Gareth recovered from attacking the teenagers.

    They snuck through the ops. As a good news, the teenagers are camouflaged that the ops couldn’t see them very well. This led them to ran away without any of the ops knowing that they have gone away.

Marvin and his friends were walking towards the end of the forest on the next morning. Finally, they saw a ray of light from the outside of the forest. That means that they are not that far away from Silverspoon City.

    “Hey, everyone, the exit of the forest is in front of us! Let's get there fast!” Gareth asked them to get to the exit as soon as possible.

    As they reached the exit, they saw the city. Silverspoon is a city where only assumed “perfect humans” live and if any imperfect human enter this place and got caught entering the city, they will be executed. That being said, they need to get ready in case anyone is going to attack them.

    They also saw a signboard in front of them as well. It wrote, “Silverspoon City, 25 miles.”

    “Let’s walk beside the roads leading there. It should lead us to the city, and this should be a good thing,” Marvin suggested.

    “Okay, so we will walk beside the highway since the traffic can be very busy.”

     Along the way, they saw a billboard. It wrote, “Rebellion is uncool. PUFFBALL helps humanity to prosper.” This might suggest that this is a propaganda to convince anyone going against them to support them and they will get the benefits. But was that worth it when they knew that they had been ripped off by an elitist and racist man who had use people's money for his personal usage?

    Usually, propaganda is shown many times and there’s no way you could unsee them. From the placements on highways to animated shows, and right at the time you wake up to the time you sleep, their propaganda is always there. These are made so that Clarence can stay in powers for years, and he shall be immortal within his rule.
